Checking the grounds at Inchmarlo

I’ve had a letter from one of the Home Owners – yes really. It was addressed to me, Humphrey at Inchmarlo House, and this Home Owner asked if I would take Daddy around the heronry so we could see that some of the bramble bushes had grown and were now protruding through the wire fence which was erected 2 or 3 years ago to keep the foxes from eating the ducks. So as part of my responsibility, I made sure that Daddy and I, together with Head Gardener Jim, walked all around the heronry and Jim is going to prune back some of the bushes.

The North East had some tremendous gales recently and quite a number of trees were blown over with the result that Jim and his staff have been busy doing forestry work.

It’s nice to be appreciated. I took Mummy for a walk in the Den, and as we were walking around we came across the most beautiful little 8 week old golden retriever called Monza. We had a wonderful time sniffing each other all over.
